The workshop will focus on the chronopolitics inherent in conceptualizations of climate change, specifically the Anthropocene. Examining artworks from the early modern period up to contemporary art, we will discuss concepts such as utopia/dystopia, prognosis, stasis, prehistory, posthistoire, teleology, apocalypsis, etc.
